All Eyes Are Turning To Tart Optical Enterprises

New York, NY (PRWEB) August 17, 2011

In an economy where the landscape is as fluid as the Hudson River, there is one thing that remains true. Quality, consistency, and superior customer service are the cornerstone to success; a recipe Tart Optical has known for over half a century. Now Tart adds additional ingredients to their recipe: contemporary new styles.

Founded in New York City in the mid 1940s, Tart Optical Enterprises Inc. (OTE) was a small but legendary maker of eye frames. Through the years, Tart Optical frames have consistently reflected the demands of the optical market while considering the fashion trends of the time. It is no wonder that Tart Optical has always been renowned for maintaining a high caliber product while setting the styles and standards of the market.

When plastics frames became more popular, due in part to World War II creating a scarcity of other more traditional eyewear materials, OTE was there, exploring new materials and techniques from new fabrication and finishing

procedures to alternative manufacturing materials and core material combinations.

In the beginning OTE used basic colors in their fabrications, offering a little than black or tortoise. However, as they became available, other colors and patterns were added. OTEs combination frames made their debut during the late forties and OTEs experience in manufacturing the combination of metals and plastics put the company in a position to supply beautiful blends of the materials. These new blends created an extensive appreciation and demand making Tart Optical a major international supplier of combination frames and plastic styles.

The Tart product line is full of good old American flavor, with strong lines and gentle, sensible style. From every angle the Tart frames have presence. They are classic, confident, and comfortable. The newest collection features Tarts top two styles: the Arnel, and the F.D.R. in classic black, dark tortoise and smoke grey, and will introduce new styles including the Countdown, and the T-Round. Select styles will also come in color fade styles.

Celebrity Brand From the start, Tart frames have graced the faces of Hollywood from yesterday and today. Johnny Depp admired and respected James Dean so much that through his research, he got interested in Tart Optical "Arnel" frames, wearing the "Arnel" in the movie Secret Window. Since then, the frame has become his signature eyewear as well as Jeff Goldblum, Mark Hamill, Brandon Boyd of Incubus, legendary drummer Denny Seiwell of Paul McCartney and Wings and many more. The F.D.R. also made it's come back through Gene Hackman, when he wore the frame for his role in Enemy of the State in 1998. Recently even Lady GaGa has been seen sporting the F.D.R frame by Tart Optical.

Tart Optical Enterprises will be attending the International Optical Fair in Tokyo (IOFT 2011) October 11 through 13, 2011, along with the Hong Kong Optical Fair, November 3 through the 5th, 2011 at the Hong Kong Exhibition Center.
